take art soundwaves network

In 2024, Wonderland proudly took part in a seven-month Early Childhood Music programme in partnership with the Take Art SoundWaves Network. The aim of this project was to support the nursery in taking a leading role in developing high-quality music provision.

Through a rich process of professional development, music specialists worked closely with nursery staff—modelling activities, co-leading sessions, and embedding music into the daily rhythm of nursery life. This hands-on, collaborative approach enabled staff to grow in confidence and deepen their knowledge, skills, and understanding of early childhood music.

By the end of the programme, music had become a vibrant and integral part of the setting’s practice. Children experienced a greater variety of musical activities woven into their day-to-day routines, supporting communication, creativity, and joyful expression. This project marked an exciting step forward in Wonderland’s commitment to delivering inspiring, inclusive, and developmentally rich experiences for every child.
