Pre-school foundation

Our vibrant, teacher-led pre-school foundation room is a welcoming and inclusive space designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and independence in children. The room is thoughtfully arranged into learning zones that support early development through play, exploration, and structured activities.

Children can engage in a wide variety of experiences, from imaginative role play and storytelling in our cosy reading nook, to hands-on discovery at our creative arts and messy play stations. Low-level shelving and accessible resources promote choice and autonomy, while soft furnishings and calming corners provide comfort and quiet for those who need a moment of rest.

The pre-school room opens directly onto a secure garden area, where children can freely explore nature, develop their physical skills on climbing equipment, and take part in outdoor learning activities such as planting, bug hunts, and water play. The garden is an extension of the classroom, promoting wellbeing and active learning in all seasons.

We are proud to have an on-site SEND hub within the pre-school foundation space, our twilight room, where trained staff provide tailored support for children with additional needs. The hub offers a safe, nurturing space for targeted interventions, small group sessions, and collaborative work with families and external professionals. It is a key part of our inclusive ethos, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.
